2020 Ford Super Duty Tremor Gets Integrated Electric Winch

For the first time ever, Ford is offering an integrated electric winch for special variants of the Ford F-Series Super Duty. For 2020, Super Duty trucks with the available Tremor Off-Road Package will be available with a factory- or dealer-installed winch that might come in handy when things get tough off the beat path.

According to Ford, the winch, which was designed by Warn, boasts 12,000 pounds of raw winching power. You will be able to get the winch for the 2020 Ford Super Duty Tremor equipped with either the 6.7-liter Power Stroke® V8 diesel or the all-new, best-in-class 7.3-liter V8 gas engine.

Ford has strategically placed the winch behind the steel bumper, which allows for optimal airflow and clearance.

“We developed this unique winch in cooperation with Warn specifically to meet Built Ford Tough truck standards for our new F-Series Super Duty,” explained Ron Meredith, Ford truck vehicle personalization planning manager. “Having a winch specially designed to our Built Ford Tough standards gives our hard-working Super Duty customers yet another tool to extend this truck’s capabilities whether at work or on the trail.”

The winch will carry an additional price of $3,000 MSRP and will be available starting the middle of this year. The 2020 Super Duty is manufactured at the Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville and the Ohio Assembly Plant in Avon Lake. The first batch of F-Series Super Duty models have already arrived here at Shults Ford Harmarville, so be sure to visit our showroom to see why this truck is the most capable and most Ford Tough ever built.

New 2020 Ford Super Duty Engine Is a Powerhouse

A new 2020 Ford Super Duty engine will be available on heavy-duty models like the F-250 and F-350. It’s a 7.3-liter V8, and it is vanquishing the competition.

This new 7.3-liter V8 engine joins two other engines available for the Ford Super Duty models: the 6.2-liter V8 gas engine and the 6.7-liter Power Stroke® diesel V8 engine. The new 7.3-liter V8 variant has already earned recognitions for its best-in-class ratings; the engine delivers 430 horsepower (best-in-class V8 output) and 475 lb-ft of torque (best-in-class gas torque).

“The 7.3-liter is designed for maximum durability in the harshest environments given that our customers live and work in these conditions every day,” commented Joel Beltramo, Ford manager for gas V8 engines, in a recent Ford press release. “This engine has the largest displacement in its class and is designed to provide benefits in key areas like power, durability, ease of maintenance and total operating costs.”

In F-250 models through F-600 models, this engine will be paired with a 10-speed heavy-duty TorqShift® automatic transmission. Commercial models above the F-600 will instead match the engine with a TorqShift® heavy-duty six-speed automatic transmission. The Ford Super Duty is the only truck in the segment to offer such a potent, advanced powertrain among such a wide cast of models. The 2020 Ford F-Series Super Duty is coming soon to Shults Ford Harmarville. Call, email, or visit the showroom to learn how you can be the first on your block with one of these wonderful toys.
