The all-new 2021 Ford F-150 and all-electric Mustang Mach-E have become quite the formidable duo. Both vehicles have won several major awards since debuting, often taking top honors at the same time. In November, they did it again: Green Car Journal named the F-150 its 2021 Green Truck of the Year and the Mustang Mach-E its 2021 Green Car of the Year.
There’s no denying that the 2021 Ford F-150 and Mustang Mach-E are powerhouses, but both also demonstrate a commitment to electrification. Each balances its impressive capability and speed with game-changing efficiency.
The 2021 Ford F-150 is available with a class-exclusive 3.5-liter PowerBoost™ Full Hybrid V6. When equipped with this engine — which also delivers more torque than any other in F-150 history — you’ll get a best-in-class combined fuel economy of 25 mpg and a max range of 750 miles on a full tank.*
With the 2021 Mustang Mach-E, Ford delivers an electric vehicle for the people. The new Mustang Mach-E boasts pony-inspired styling (and power), a spacious interior perfect for families, and some of the latest tech Ford has to offer. It also crushes range anxiety by delivering a maximum EPA-estimated range of 300 miles on a full charge.**
The 2021 Green Car Journal Green Car Awards are just some of the major prizes this dynamic duo have taken home in the past several months. If you want to see why the all-new 2021 Ford F-150 and Mustang Mach-E are proven winners, schedule a test drive in either (or both) vehicles at Shults Ford Harmarville in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
*Range calculation based on 30.6-gallon tank and EPA-estimated rating of 25 combined mpg. Actual range will vary.
**Based on full charge. Targeted range applies to an available configuration. Actual range varies with conditions such as external elements, driving behaviors, vehicle maintenance, lithium ion battery age and state of health. California Route 1 final EPA-estimated ratings expected in the 2020 calendar year.
When you need an advanced vehicle to keep you and your family safe on the road, the 2017 Ford Escape can do precisely that. The Ford’s Escape safety features include both protective and preventative measures.
The Escape is available in three trim levels: S, SE, and Titanium. Standard on all Escape models are antilock brakes, traction and stability control, airbags, automatic headlights, and a rearview camera. The airbags will help protect you and your passengers in case of an accident. But where the real protection lies is in preventing an accident from happening in the first place.
Here, the antilock brakes, automatic headlights, stability control, and rearview camera come into play. These features help you stay in control, stay visible, and see what’s behind you before anything happens.
Available on the SE trim are more active features, like rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. These features come standard on the Titanium trim. Optional for the Titanium model is adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic high-beam control, automatic wipers, lane departure warning and intervention, front and side parking sensors, and an automated parking system.
Pittsburgh is a beautiful city that’s located on a picturesque landscape of rivers and mountains. To get the best view of this spectacular setting, head to one of these locations where you’ll find the best views of Pittsburgh.
Duquesne Incline: Take an old-fashioned trolley car up to a panoramic view far above the buildings and rivers. The scenic overlook at the top is beautiful during the day or night.
Mount Washington: It’s a relaxing escape from the city and a great place to see the area from a different angle. This area’s Emerald View Park is a favorite for locals.
West End/Elliot Overlook: A great place to see sunsets and watch the Allegheny and Monogahela Rivers intersect.
Grandview Avenue: Living up to its name, this area has a great view of the area surrounding the city, making it a popular place for weddings.
PNC Park: The view of the city and river from the upper seats of the Pirates’ field is worth the price for tickets.
Of course, we think the best way to see Pittsburgh is from the driver’s seat of a new Ford vehicle from Shults Ford of Hamarville!
As wise men are oft to say, nothing beats planning and organization. Nowhere is this more true than with a Thanksgiving gathering. Throwing something together willy-nilly might work out, but you’re just rolling the dice. Let’s make a plan! Here are some tips for a successful Thanksgiving dinner, courtesy of the Shults family…
First things first: the turkey. You have to know how big a turkey you need. Just to be safe, assume each guest consumes one pound of turkey and then overestimate a little. Having ten guests? Get a 15-pound turkey.
Next: thawing the bird. It takes a long time to thaw a turkey. According to the Huffington Post, the expert on all things domestic, it takes 24 hours per four pounds to thaw. It takes three days to thaw a 12-pound turkey!
Make a schedule for your cooking day and the two days before it. This may seem tedious but putting together a Thanksgiving dinner is a major undertaking. A schedule ensures that you have all of your materials and that you’ve set aside the appropriate amount of time to get everything done.
Here’s another thing: don’t be a hero. Ask for help! Create a group text and ask each guest to bring one dish. This way, you won’t end up with 50 deviled eggs.
Recently, the Bierker family was presented a Warrior Quilt by Paul Letso, one of our very own Shults Ford of Harmarville employees. Rachele Beirker entered to win the quilt for the Mother’s Day Race for the Cure and they are definitely excited to be able to display this Warrior Quilt in their home and know that people are everywhere are fighting for a cure for breast cancer..
The Neighborhood Ford Store has partnered with the Pittsburgh Race for the Cure for the Annual Warrior Quilt Project. Warrior Quilts are made of fabric squares that are decorated at a Neighborhood Ford Store booth at the Pittsburgh Race for the Cure. The squares are filled with messages of hope and encouragement; they honor breast cancer survivors, as well as remembering loved ones who have passed. These quilts remind us all how many people breast cancer affects, but they also show us that we are doing everything we can to defeat it.
For Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, there are several quilts donated to across the United States, to hospitals, clinics, and breast cancer treatment centers.
We were so proud to be able to present a Warrior Quilt to Rachele Bierker and her family and if you would like to find out more about how you can help in the fight against breast cancer, visit the Neighborhood Ford Store booth and the Pittsburgh Race for the Cure!

As you all are probably very aware, one of Shults Ford’s main goals as a business is to try to put a smile on each and every one of our customers, fans, and friends faces. In order to accomplish this goal, we decided to start off by putting a smile on every single kid in the area we could. That is where the Junior Yee Haw contest came about.
To kick off the Junior Yee Haw Contest, members of the Shults Ford team, including Richard Bazzy himself, visited the local Children’s Hospital. Here, we distributed out our signature Cowboy Hat, some coloring books, crayons, and Toys R Us gift cards to children staying in the hospital. While we were there, we recorded some pretty adorable Yee Haws for the Junior Yee Haw Contest as well.
Shults Ford takes pride in serving the local community. That is why we are giving a Toys R Us gift card and cowboy hat to every child who records their Christmas Yee Haw at Shults Ford this December. We hope we bring as much joy into our customer and fans lives that you guys bring to us.
We hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and remember to smile!
