Ford Performs Well in J.D. Power’s 2020 Vehicle Dependability Study

J.D. Power conducted its 2020 Vehicle Dependability Study to determine which 3-year-old vehicles gave owners the least amount of problems. The Ford Mustang and F-150 both earned awards for their performances in the study.

The Mustang won in the midsize sporty car segment, while the F-150 won in the large light-duty pickup segment. The high ranking of each model enabled Ford to place third among all the automakers in the study.

“For us, high quality means more than a great experience in the first few months of ownership; it includes a great experience throughout a customer’s ownership journey, and these results affirm our commitment to building high-quality vehicles,” said Linda Cash, Ford vice president of Quality and New Model Launch Program.

Ford managed to jump six spots in the study, thanks in large part to its SYNC® 3 system. The voice-activated communications and entertainment system features an easy-to-use touch screen that’s compatible with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™.  As such, you can make calls to your loved ones, send messages and listen to your playlists while on the go.

The protective and connective technologies in Ford vehicles are just some of the aspects that make Ford vehicles reliable options.
