Ford Launches ‘Bring Back Bronco’ Podcast

Ever since Ford announced the return of one of its iconic Built Wild™ vehicle — the exciting 2021 Ford Bronco — fans have been in a state of enthusiastic hysteria. With the launch of its brand-new podcast: Bring Back Bronco: The Untold Story, you can geek out over the return of an off-road legend while you make your daily commute through Pittsburgh.

Automotive history is a fascinating subject, and the story of the Bronco is no different. Over the course of eight episodes, former National Public Radio correspondent Sonari Glinton applies a journalistic lens to the legacy of the Bronco — both the good and the less-than-ideal.

In regards to the podcast’s topic and tone, Ford’s Chief Communications Officer Mark Truby said, “The Bronco is an iconic vehicle, with an unusual history of twists and turns, ascents, and descents. It demands a fresh storytelling approach to shed light on what makes it special and so compelling to its huge fan base, as well as for new fans who will discover the rich history along with the new Broncos.”

Just as the Bronco holds a special place in many people’s hearts and minds, it’s story personal to Glinton. “This project was of special interest to me for several reasons, including the fact that my mother worked for Ford for many years and I worked on a Ford assembly line before I went into radio and reporting.”

You can listen to the first several episodes of Bring Back Bronco: The Untold Story right now through Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Stitcher, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. You can easily stream episodes from your smartphone to your vehicle through your SYNC® infotainment system. When you’re not on the go, you can access exclusive bonus content at the Bronco Podcast website to spice up your next trip across Pennsylvania.

Once you’ve added Bring Back Bronco: The Untold Story to your playlist, make a bold move. Place your $100 refundable deposit on a brand-new 2021 Ford Bronco or Ford Bronco Sport at Shults Ford Harmarville in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The 2021 Ford F-150 is the Toughest, Most Productive Ever Built

For 43 years and counting, Ford has been the leading name in all things pickup trucks. That run is set to grow by many more years with the introduction of the all-new 2021 Ford F-150 — the toughest, most productive, and most powerful F-150 ever made. Ford revealed the much-anticipated next-generation F-150 earlier this month during a live-streaming event, and it definitely did not disappoint.

While there’s never any shortage of excitement surrounding a new F-150, this reveal included something truly exciting: the announcement of the all-new 3.5-liter PowerBoost™ hybrid V6. Power is in the name for a reason here: Ford expects that it will deliver more horsepower and torque than any other full-size pickup, which should crush any concerns about hybrids not being as powerful. Not only will the F-150 PowerBoost tow at least 12,000 pounds, but it’ll also deliver a targeted EPA-estimated range of 700 miles.

That’s the kind of incredible innovation that’s kept Ford and the F-150 at the top of its game for decades. But that’s not all Ford has in store with the 2021 F-150. For you adventure-seekers, the 2021 Ford F-150 is available with a Pro Power Onboard™ generator, which brings enough power to run 28 refrigerators or about as many tools as you’d need for a tough job. Speaking of tough jobs, the new F-150 gets an available Tailgate Work Surface that helps you stay productive on the job.

The 2021 Ford F-150 also boasts a revamped interior with a couple of super-cool new features. The available Interior Work Surface lets you turn your cabin into a functional workspace perfect for sending emails or eating your lunch. With available Max Recline Seats, you can recline nearly 180 degrees, which makes it easy to knock off for a nap on your break.

Add all that to the fact that the 2021 Ford F-150 features Ford Co-Pilot360™ 2.0, first-in-class Active Drive Assist hands-free driving, over-the-air update capabilities, SYNC® 4 infotainment with an available 12-inch center screen, and just so much more, and it’s clear that Ford plans to dominate for years and years to come.

If you’re looking to dominate whatever life throws your way, the 2021 Ford F-150 is coming soon to Shults Ford Harmarville in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Contact our sales experts to learn more about this truck and how you can make one yours later this year.

How to Celebrate the Fourth of July at Home in Pittsburgh, PA

With Independence Day fast approaching and most of us trying to stay at home, you may be wondering how to celebrate the most patriotic holiday of them all without hosting a large gathering or cookout. That’s why we put together this list of creative, fun ways to celebrate Fourth of July at home with your family.

Highlight the Declaration of Independence

While we don’t recommend taking an actual highlighter to the proclamation of our nation’s independence, giving it a dramatic reading could be a fun way to recognize its historical significance. Gathering the family and divvying up passages to read is sure to remind everyone that one simple document can change the world.

Get the kids involved

On the surface, history might seem boring to kids. However, framing a learning experience about the origins of America as a fun game show is a great way to help your children connect with their country’s legacy. You can even introduce Fourth of July-themed treats as rewards for getting the right answers.

Watch a well-themed movie

Sitting down with your family for a movie night — complete with delicious food, naturally — is the perfect way to end a Fourth of July spent at home. You can opt for a classic war film, superhero fare like Captain America, an action flick like Independence Day, or a family-friendly adventure like National Treasure.

No matter how you choose to celebrate the Fourth of July at home in Pittsburgh, all of us here at Shults Ford of Harmarville would like to wish you a happy, safe Independence Day.

Ford Performs Well in J.D. Power’s 2020 Vehicle Dependability Study

J.D. Power conducted its 2020 Vehicle Dependability Study to determine which 3-year-old vehicles gave owners the least amount of problems. The Ford Mustang and F-150 both earned awards for their performances in the study.

The Mustang won in the midsize sporty car segment, while the F-150 won in the large light-duty pickup segment. The high ranking of each model enabled Ford to place third among all the automakers in the study.

“For us, high quality means more than a great experience in the first few months of ownership; it includes a great experience throughout a customer’s ownership journey, and these results affirm our commitment to building high-quality vehicles,” said Linda Cash, Ford vice president of Quality and New Model Launch Program.

Ford managed to jump six spots in the study, thanks in large part to its SYNC® 3 system. The voice-activated communications and entertainment system features an easy-to-use touch screen that’s compatible with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™.  As such, you can make calls to your loved ones, send messages and listen to your playlists while on the go.

The protective and connective technologies in Ford vehicles are just some of the aspects that make Ford vehicles reliable options. Tips for Driving Safely in the Rain This Spring in Pittsburgh

With the spring season in full swing in Harmarville, there will be blooming flowers and warmer days, but there will also be an uptick in downpours. Rain can be hazardous while on the road, which is why it’s a good idea to keep in mind these tips for driving safely in the rain.

Inspect your vehicle

Before embarking on your commute, it’s important to make sure all the lights on your vehicle are working so that other drivers can spot your vehicle on the road. You should also check that the tires are properly inflated and have enough tread depth for maintaining traction on slick streets. Windshield wipers are a must when it’s raining, so consider replacing them if they are not functioning well.

Take it slow

Speeding on a wet road could lead to hydroplaning, so you should consider driving at a slower pace. You also want to be sure to leave plenty of room between you and the vehicle ahead of you since hard braking can be dangerous.

Know how to handle a skid

If your vehicle does start to hydroplane, you should avoid the urge to hit the brakes since doing so could make it more difficult to gain control of the vehicle. Instead, you should gently remove your foot from the gas pedal and keep steering in the direction that you want the vehicle to go in, without jerking the wheel.

We at Shults Ford Harmarville offer several vehicles, including the Ford Escape, Explorer, and EcoSport, which are available with all-wheel drive to help you handle slick roads. Visit our showroom in Pittsburgh to check out these vehicles and receive any needed parts replacements.
